Monezy is a family wealth OS for Indian households
Monezy is a family wealth operating system: one ledger for salary, expenses, SIPs, the house pool, goals, and documents — with Indian FY, rupee, and tax tools built in.
Why household money needs an operating system
Most Indian families do not fail at earning. They fail at seeing. Salary lands in one account, rent leaves another, SIPs auto-debit a third, the house cook is paid in cash, and a parent’s health policy sits in a WhatsApp PDF. Spreadsheets rot. Bank apps show one person. Shared Google Sheets argue about who last updated July.
Monezy is built as a family wealth OS — a single operating picture for the household. It is not a bank, not a robo-advisor, and not a tax-filing portal. It is the ledger where income, spend, investments, the shared pool, goals, and papers live together, in rupees, on an Indian calendar.
What “family” means in the ledger
You start with people, not accounts. Add each member with a role — family admin, earning spouse, parent, child. Then switch the top bar between Household and a person. Household is the combined picture. A person is their slice: their salary, their SIPs, their personal spend.
That switch is the core of Monezy. Couples who split rent 60/40, a joint family with one primary earner, or a household where one partner handles cash and the other handles investments — all of those are first-class, not bolted on.
The four money motions
Every rupee that moves in Monezy is one of four things. Income is salary, bonus, rent received, or any inflow. Expense is bills and personal spend. Invest is SIPs, equity, gold, EPF, and goal vaults. Pool is shared household cash — the kitty that pays the cook, the society maintenance, the kids’ school bus.
Quick actions sit on the same bar as the household switch and the month / financial-year filter, so logging money takes one tap instead of a scavenger hunt through menus.
- Income — payslips and other inflows, including TDS, EPF, and professional tax
- Expense — housing, food, transport, utilities, health, education, and the rest
- Invest — SIPs, stocks, gold, EPF, and transfers into goal vaults
- Pool — contribute, spend, and split the shared household cash
Indian time, not calendar gimmicks
Indian salaries, taxes, and mutual-fund statements live on the financial year. Monezy lets you flip the same books between a month and FY 2026-27 without exporting anything. April is not “month 4” — it is the start of the year the IT department cares about.
Overview then shows net income and a money snapshot on one level, recent activity and goals on the next. You see whether the house is ahead this FY, not just whether this week felt expensive.
What stays on this device
Monezy keeps the household in this browser. Export a JSON backup from settings when you want a file you can store, print, or restore later. Import the same file to continue on another machine. There is no account wall between you and your own books.
