Run a shared household pool without the monthly argument

Use Monezy’s pool to collect contributions, pay shared bills, and split remaining cash fairly across family members — the kitty, not another spreadsheet tab.

The pool is the house’s cash, not a person

Indian homes already have a pool. It might be a joint account, a cookie tin, or UPI to one partner who “handles the house”. Monezy names it. Contribute from a member, spend on cook / maintenance / groceries, and watch remaining. Household totals on Overview include that remaining cash so the snapshot is not just bank-app theatre.

Contribute, spend, split

Tap Pool on the quick-action bar to add a contribution or a house spend. When the month is done and leftover cash should go back to people — or when you want equal (or weighted) shares — use split. The split writes the movement into the ledger so you are not keeping a side note in chat.

Fair is a rule you can see

Fair is not always 50/50. One earner may fund 70% of the pool while the other runs the house. Log the actual contributions. The pool remaining plus family totals is the household number — that is the contract. Arguments drop when both people can open the same month and see the same remaining.

Do not disguise pool spend as personal burn

Society maintenance paid from the kitty is pool, not “Priya’s expense”. Logging it on a person punishes the wrong burn rate and understates the house. Use Household scope plus Pool for shared life, and person scope for personal life. The reports then stop lying.
